What it does
A bulk run is one book, not a folder of unrelated images. You set an audience (Toddler through Adults, or Cozy), which fills in a default line weight you can still override, plus a theme, choose an art page count from 24 to 300 (up to 150 single-sided), and pick single- or double-sided printing. CrayonMill plans one distinct topic per page, draws every page in the same line style, and cleans each one to 1-bit before it ever reaches your library.
| Step | You set | CrayonMill runs |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Audience + theme | Suggests a default line weight, plans N distinct topics, no repeats |
| 2 | Art page count (24–300, up to 150 single-sided) | Queues one drawing job per page |
| 3 | Single- or double-sided | Single-sided doubles the interior page count with blank backs; double-sided does not |
| 4 | — | Cleans every page to 1-bit, tracks status live |
Each page is its own job, so a 200-page run does not wait on a single slow generation — pages fill in as they finish, and you can watch the count climb instead of staring at a spinner. A failing page (a model timeout, an unusable draft) is marked, refunded, and left for a one-tap regenerate instead of quietly stalling the whole batch.

Why one style holds across 300 pages
Style drift is the usual failure mode of page-by-page generators: page 40 does not look like page 4 because each prompt was written and rendered separately. CrayonMill's topic planner and drawing step both read from the same audience and theme for the whole run, so line weight, subject scale, and background density stay in the same register from the first page to the last — the same reason a KDP reviewer or a buyer flips through and reads it as one book.
What it does not do
- It does not accept a hand-written list of 50 prompts to render as-is — topics come from the planner, not a paste box. If you already know exactly what every page should be, that constraint will feel restrictive.
- It does not turn a photo into a page. Every page is drawn from the theme, not from an uploaded image.
- It does not generate the cover. Interior pages only; see the cover size guide for that step.
